On January 10, 2018, associate professor of sociology Dr. Sarah Hayford was interviewed by Reuters titled, "Mom's age at birth linked to daughter's later childlessness." Dr. Hayford studies family formation and reproductive health and researches childlessness trends in the United States.
On November 27, 2017, Sociology Professor and Department Chair Claudia Buchmann was featured in an article published by The Atlantic titled, "Poor Girls Are Leaving Their Brothers Behind" about the success of low-income girls in education.
Dr. Nyseth Brehm was featured on local NPR affiliate WOSU for her research focused on the Rwanda genocide that started in 1994.
