  • Anneliese Ward will begin as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Kentucky in Fall 2026. Congratulations Anneliese!
     
  • Andrea Constant and co-authors published an article entitled "Intersectional Lives, and Ecological Risks: The Association between Criminal Legal System Exposures and Suicide Attempts among Black Youth" in the Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities. 
     
  • Paul Bellair and Terrance Hinton were both quoted in the Columbus Dispatch in the article "Cameras helped ID suspect in Tepe killings. But how effective are they?" Police say neighborhood and public cameras helped identify a suspect in the Tepe murders, but the article questions how effective such systems really are at preventing or solving crime, noting limitations in coverage and technology even as they aided in this investigation.

  • Research by Chris Knoester and Chris McLeod (Florida), on parents’ expectations for their children’s athletic achievements, received a resurgence of attention and was discussed extensively on Barstool Sports platforms, satellite radio, local television, assorted podcasts; in Parents magazine and other related sources; and for a One Nation with Brian Kilmeade FOX television segment slated to air on Feb. 1.
