Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Professor John Casterline was quoted in a 10/25/21 Columbus Dispatch article entitled, “Ohio deaths surpass births in 2020-The reversal is a first in state’s history.” The linked article is paywalled.

Professor Korie Edwards’ work has been chosen to receive a President's Research Excellence (PRE) Catalyst Award.  The project is entitled, “University Collaboration on Overcoming Attitudinal and Situational Barriers to Collaborative Initiatives to Advance Racial Equity: A Confluence of Dispute Process Design, Law & Social Science.”  These competitive awards provide up to $200,000 to support large cross- and interdisciplinary teams pursuing large-scale, high-impact research that addresses emerging or existing challenges of national and international societal importance, generates long-term, sustained, and significant impact, and positions Ohio State as THE leader in this area. Congratulations Korie!
