Anna is a 3rd year doctoral student and an affiliate of the Institute for Population Research. She has two complementary research agendas with interests in reproduction, gender, medicine, and obstetric violence as well as fertility and childbearing desires. She has several ongoing projects which are interested in understanding how people delineate between what is natural and what is medical during medical encounters, how experiences of obstetric violence are shaped by broader structural and cultural forces, and how people make decisions and plans about their reproductive futures. She has worked with several interdisciplinary research teams and has developed a great deal of experience and skill in qualitative data collection and analysis.
