Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

David Melamed CV

Interests include group processes, social networks, computational modeling, stratification, and others areas. My research focuses on how social structures (e.g., network structures, status structures, class structures) shape individual outcomes. Examples include how network structures shape prosocial behaviors, how status structures shape small group inequalities, and how macro-level class structures shape class and occupational outcomes. Some of this work has been supported by the Army Research Office and the National Science Foundation. See my personal website for more information – u.osu.edu/melamed9
