Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Anneliese Ward CV

Anneliese is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Ohio State University. Broadly, her research examines disparities in criminal-legal outcomes according to both individual-level traits and macro-level contextual characteristics. Specifically, she uses a mixed-methods approach to examine the way individuals' "releasability" from correctional facilities is constructed via the interaction of their demographic characteristics, charge type, and broader contextual factors. She is a current Ohio State University Presidential Fellow and former NSF Graduate Research Fellow.
