Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Yongmin Sun CV [pdf]

In the past decade, I have been studying how parental divorce and other nontraditional family structures affect children. These efforts have resulted in papers published in Journal of Marriage and Family, Journal of Family Issues, and Social Science Research.

One key theme in my next few studies is to investigate how family instability (or stability) over a relatively long period of childhood may harm (or benefit) the trajectories of various child outcomes during the same period.  I also plan to investigate the effects of parental divorce and postdivorce family transitions on the growth curves of children’s outcomes over different phases of childhood.
