Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Bethany Everett CV

My research primarily uses quantitative methods to understand the social patterning and social determinants of health inequalities in the United States, with a specific focus on disparities related to gender and sexual orientation. I am interested in the role of reproduction as a site of inequality in the United States, as well as feminist demographic methods and theory. While I often work with large, interdisciplinary teams, my research remains rooted in the sociological concepts of norms, stigma, identity, and social structures. I have been a continually funded NIH researcher since 2010, primarily from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
