
Dr. Chinyere Agbai is our newest faculty member. Chinyere uses quantitative methods to uncover the roots of the racial wealth gap in homeownership and explore their consequences for contemporary racial inequality in wealth and health. Most recently, Chinyere is researching the consequences of massive wealth inequality for mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work has been funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Chinyere is also a member of the Institute for Population Research.

Dr. Anthony Johnson joined the OSU Sociology Department in 2020. He studies the intersection of inequality, education, and culture. Anthony’s current work examines the unequal collaborative experiences of college students in elite STEM programs and includes publications in American Sociological Review and Sociology of Education. His research has been supported by external funding from the National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation, the National Science Foundation, and the Student Experience Research Network
