2017-12-01 11:10:00 2017-12-02 16:00:00 Criminology Colloquium Global Citizenship Beyond the Carceral State: A Colloquium on Carcerality, Returning Citizens, and Community Capacity Building This colloquium brings together incarcerated citizens (via Skype), returning citizens, students, activists, scholars, service providers, and other community folk who are engaged in understanding and addressing the issue of mass incarceration. Using a progressive and welcoming teach-in model, we will explore the evolution of mass incarceration on a personal, familial, and communal level. The three events will be guided by Reconstruction Inc.’s Community Capacity Building Curriculum.
