Jack G. R. Wippell is a PhD Student in the Department of Sociology at The Ohio State University, and a graduate affiliate of the Mershon Center for International Security Studies and the Translational Data Analytics Institute. His research examines the emergence, diffusion, and mobilization of ideologies, extremism, and political violence, with a methodological emphasis on integrating computational, quantitative, and qualitative approaches. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in journals such as: Social Problems; Journal of Criminal Justice; and Politics, Groups & Identities.
