Two Sociology AAAS Fellows Elected

Ohio State University faculty have been elected to the newest class of Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS).  Of the eighteen fellows, two are from the Department of Sociology.   Randy Hodson, Professor of Sociology; for distinguished contributions to the study of organizational effectiveness and dignity at work through the study of power and its abuses and Zhenchao Qian, Professor and Chair of Sociology; for distinguished contributions to the field of population studies and sociology, particularly for the studies of marriage, cohabitation, interracial marriage and assortative mating patterns.  See next week’s News and Updates for the complete story.  Our congratulations to all the new Fellows.
