Paola Echave was recently awarded an Honorable Mention by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, in the 2018 Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship competition. 

Through its Fellowship Programs, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, in order to maximize the educational benefits of diversity in the classroom. The Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs offer approximately 60 predoctoral awards, 35 awards for dissertation research, and 24 postdoctoral awards each year. The Department would like to congratulate Paola on her award, and we look forward to her future contributions.
