Graduate Students to Receive Award at American Sociological Association Meeting

Current graduate students Scott Duxbury, Laura Frizzell, and Sadé L. Lindsay, will be recognized later this month at the American Sociological Association (ASA) Annual Meeting.

Their work, “Mental Illness, the Media, and the Moral Politics of Mass Violence: The Role of Race in Mass Shootings Coverage”, which will be published later this year in the Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency; received the ASA section on Communications, Information Technologies and Media Sociology Graduate Student Paper Award.
