Welcome

I am the Lab and User Services Coordinator for the Department of Sociology. I report to John Crawford. I supervise Sociology's undergraduate and graduate student technical staff. You can read a very general list of my job duties.

The Sociology Research Lab is highly supportive of faculty and student research, and has made significant contributions to a wide variety of projects. Feel free to discuss with us your ideas for computer-assisted research, or to simply ask us for advice on how computing technology can simplify or improve your project.

Sociology's computing staff are grounded in social science research methods, and have several decades' combined experience in the integration of technology into research and instruction. We focus on appropriate uses of technology, recognizing both the contributions that high-tech solutions can make and the situations in which technology is not a panacea.

Prior Work

Independent of my work here in Sociology, I am a former employee of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and the OSU Center for Survey Research.
