Dr. Karyn Lacy is an Associate Professor in the department(s) of Sociology and Afro-American and African Studies at the University of Michican in Ann Arbor, MI. Her research interests include: Inequalities and Stratification, Politics and Social Change, Qualitative Approaches, Race and Ethnicity, Social Psychology and Interaction, Sociology of Culture as well as Urban and Community Sociology.Dr. Lacy has published many articles and reviews, written numerous book chapters, and authored two books, Blue-Chip Black: Race, Class, and Status in the New Black Middle-Class (2007) & Black Like Us (in preperation).This event will be updated with the presentation title and accompanying details as soon as possible, and is open to the public.
