Ohio State University. The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure track position in the fields of globalization and social change, broadly defined, at the Assistant Professor level to commence Fall 2015. We seek candidates who will broaden or strengthen our existing repertoire of methodological expertise. We encourage applications from candidates who will add to our existing strengths in inequality or political sociology, and contribute to building links to interdisciplinary research centers and programs at the university.  Furthermore, we seek candidates who will maintain vigorous research programs, actively seek external funding, contribute to both graduate and undergraduate teaching, and provide service to the department and the profession. 

Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Sociology, or a related field, by the start of employment, and to present evidence of excellence in teaching and research.
